Junior Api Developer (Clearance Required)

Work you'll do

We seek an API microservices developer to support development and enhancement to drive and support our development and API integration efforts. As a member of a large team, you will have a direct impact in building out new functionalities for an existing, custom builds web application (portal). You will directly support application and services agile software development teams in this role. Responsibilities include software development for the API layer and building new feature enhancements within the custom portal (primarily JavaScript - Typescript, Node, and SQL). Also, develop API Gateway within AWS to automate data exchange between agencies. In this role, you must effectively assess, plan, and complete development tasks in Node JS and work collaboratively with other development teams when required. This position will be an excellent opportunity to learn cutting-edge development technologies such as Node JS API development, Kubernetes, Gloo, Jenkins, Gitlab, SOLR, and web application development.

Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of professional experience in API microservices development
• 2+ years of experience in an Agile Software development environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other business-related field
• Minimum Active Top Secret Level Security Clearance or DHS Public Trust
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript - Typescript, Node, and SQL.

Preferred:

• Creativity and innovation - desire to learn and apply new technologies, products, and libraries
• Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
