Job Description

Junior level IT Security/ Jr Security Analyst position with a primary focus on security updates to Windows operating system machines and Security Operations Center Alerts. Additional IT and/or security related tasks will also be assigned to the person in this position, such as special project involvement based on demonstrated ability.

Responsibilities:
-Respond to and resolve security tickets received from the Security Operations Center.
  • Act as liaison between vendors to ensure proper vulnerability patching has been completed.
  • Coordinate and execute security patch deployments with each area of the hospital which includes pc’s, phones and servers.
  • Set up lab configurations used for testing, demonstrations or as directed by senior staff. Recommend improved methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency.
  • Participate in network engineering functions including conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Actively monitor and update monitor firewall
  • Research new security technologies and make recommendations to leadership for enhancements, or improvements to existing network.
  • Provide support to the desktop analysts, network engineer and telecom team with security components as they relate to the projects being implemented.
  • Assist in leading projects where security initiatives / applications are being executed or deployed. This includes the design of the project from a technical perspective, coordinating a schedule for implementation and communicating to the end users the schedule, impact and purpose.
Education:
  • Associates Degree or higher in Computer Science, Networking, Programming or Cyber Security preferred
  • Highschool Diploma/ GED Equivalent required
Skills:
  • PC, Telecom, Printer, Network Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting, foundational understanding of networking, telecom, infrastructure, cybersecurity and endpoint
  • Visio, Microsoft Suite

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
