About the Position:
The Jr. Maintenance Technician (with cleaning duties) is responsible for maintaining and repairing of the facility as scheduled alongside the Lead Maintenance Technician to preserve structural integrity and overall upkeep of the building, as well as cleaning of the interior and exterior of the property in addition to all landscaping duties. This is for a 133-unit apartment community designed exclusively for low-income seniors, aged 62 and above. The property is located in Huntington, WV. This position requires solid maintenance knowledge and skills. Experience in property management is helpful.
Responsibilities:
  • Apply general knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, heating, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, painting, security and sprinkler systems, fire alarms, masonry work, and other related skills required to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and/or repair
  • Repair minor problems of buildings and foundations to include the roof, ceilings, walls, floors, basements, and all mechanical contents of the building
  • Clean management offices, clubrooms, kitchen, common areas, and bathrooms as needed
  • Daily inspection of grounds, parking lots, and common areas
  • Assist maintenance team as needed, including painting and work orders
  • Empty all trash cans on a daily basis and dispose of trash in designated areas
  • Sweep, mop, buff, and vacuum all floors as needed
  • Pick up garbage around the property daily

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance (painting, carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
  • Computer literacy required
  • Landscaping and cleaning experience helpful
  • At least 2 years maintenance technician experience
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
