Responsibilities

Peraton is actively seeking an Jr.Software Developer to support our Defense Enterprise Sector.

Must be US Citizen, and have active/current DoD Public Trust designation and Common Access Card or be able to obtain prior to starting.

• This position requires individual to hold/have a current IAT II Certification, or be able to obtain by Dec.1, 2023
• This is a remote opportunity, but you must reside in the U.S. to be considered.

The DTS team is responsible for developing and testing the application and maintaining the system hardware to ensure that it functions per DoD requirements and specifications.

• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops unit tests.
• Ensures software standards are met.
• Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities.
• Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems.
• Supports software releases and fixes post-release defects.

Qualifications

• Must be US Citizen, and have active/current DoD Public Trust designation and Common Access Card or be able to obtain prior Hold/have a current IAT II Certification, or be able to obtain by Dec.1, 2023
• Experience developing with Java, Spring, Hibernate
• Experience analyzing data, troubleshooting, and solving technical issues
• Experience writing SQL scripts and queries using SQL, PL/SQL, and Hibernate
• Experience working with build tools like Maven
• Experience working with Spring web services (SOAP and REST)
• U.S. Citizen and Ability to obtain a Common Access Card
• Experience working with Javascript and Javascript Libraries
• BS 0-2 Years or HS+4
• Experience communicating across a large team with a variety of technical backgrounds

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
