Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Java Developer in New York, New York

Work on margin and collateral management software systems. Create robust high-volume production applications and develop prototypes. Complete unit and functional testing. Utilize Database Management Software. Work with global team focusing on frequent code reviews to ensure higher code quality. Analyze, design and develop Java based enterprise applications. Focus on margin and collateral management system to initiate and respond to margin calls to reduce counterparty exposure and summarize exposure as part of daily reporting.

Salary:

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000.00 and $150,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master’s in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study. Position requires the following skills: Server side programming in Java/Unix (Perl, Python) Script; Data structures; algorithms and graph based programming; Design, programming and debugging experience of multi-threaded, high throughput, robust and scalable systems; Large systems software design and development process, including Unix/Linux; Python and SQL, or TCP/IP and network programming; and Java libraries including Spring and Hibernate. Skills may be gained through degree program or work experience.
