Opportunity

Kohler Company, the #1 rated consumer brand in plumbing manufacturing, is looking for a Journeyman Plumber who is also a Senior Installer for their Kohler Services Walk-in-Bath and Shower business. This is a newly created team where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and work directly with our end customers and bring their shower & bath space vision to life!

The Journeyman Plumber/Senior Installer is responsible for achieving quality installation of KOHLER brand products that exceed industry standards and our clients' expectations. This team member must maintain professional behavior, both at the job sites and while representing the KOHLER brand, during the workday.

Specific Responsibilities

• Confirm details of proposed installation with customer prior to start using confirmation form used by production at job check verification. Explain install process in simple terms to establish trust and confidence with customer.
• Provide leave behind materials for all of the above
• Sign off to the close of the permit
• Review warranty information
• Collect final payment
• Works with full competence to employ a systematic process for solving technical issues by identifying the problems and risks involved, then selecting an appropriate solution.
• Works with full competence to employ customer-oriented behaviors that help installers connect with their customers in productive and efficient ways, creating positive, defining moments.
• Responsible for installation and plumbing work related to Kohler Services shower and walk-in bath products, including water heater additions or replacements.
• Responsible for providing the consumer the following service & materials as part of the installation process:
• Ensure accurate suitability of proposed work area prior to demolition or start of work. Identify visible defects that will/could prevent achieving KOHLER’s expected installation standards.
• Manages and applies safe systems of work without supervision and provides technical guidance when required.
• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business and product installation objectives.
• Responsible for timely reporting and updates in CRM as directed by the Supervisor - Installer
• Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with all applicable codes and perform testing to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Show the consumer how to use the product
• Maintain a clean and professional work area, including outside customers home and the work vehicle, during the workday.

Skills/Requirements

• Five plus years of plumbing experience, with experience in bathroom installation preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs and stand for long periods is required. May be required to reach over shoulder height and head height and crawling and crouching positionally.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions is a must.
• Journeyman Plumber License in State of Wisconsin.
• Proven experience as Journeyman Plumber.
• Must have proven communication and relationship building skills.

• Ability to operate company vehicle preferred. Satisfactory MVR will be required to operate company vehicle.

Travel

• Approximately 25% Overnight (This will vary depending on job site locations).
