TITLE: Carpenter Journeyman
REPORTS TO: Carpenter Foreman
STATUS: Non-Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for installation of formwork, finish carpentry and drywall.
COMPENSATION
The base compensation range for this role is $51.44 per hour

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- C. Finish carpentry, doors and hardware
- D. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Concrete columns
- Study blueprints, sketches or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard. Measures the dimensions of structure of fixture to be fabricated
- Set gang wall forms
- B. Concrete and rough carpentry
- Slab on metal deck and grade
- E. All other duties as assigned
- Footings
- Finish carpentry: toilet accessories, hand rails, corner guards, toilet partitions, lockers, upper cabinets, lower cabinets, countertops, wall paneling systems, coffered ceiling systems and running trim
- Hand set walls
- Drywall
- Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardware
- Structural concrete decks
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Some ability to read plans
- Ability to operate equipment such as: table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems
- Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams
- Strong teamwork orientation F. Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Union specific training
- Completion of apprentice program
- High school diploma or GED
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequency codes: (A) Always, (F) Frequently, (O) Occasionally, (N) Never *Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
