Trissential is currently seeking a Java Software Developer/Engineer to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
  • Inputs into proof of concept exercises and assists sales with pre-sales collateral
  • Manages & works closely with offshore based development team to keep the final delivery intact
  • Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing development and service issues. Contributes to peer reviews of solution designs and related code.
  • Keep up to date with latest developments in technology.
  • Designs, develops, and unit tests applications in accordance with established standards. Manages the packaging and supports deployment of releases.
  • Experience in message-based integration – Azure message queue / N service bus.
  • Responsible to maintain the agreed KPI’s & SLAs
  • Anticipates potential problems and develops solutions needed to resolve them.
  • Aid project manager / team lead in breaking down functional requirements into explicit programming tasks and provide estimates where required
  • Diagnose bugs and offer workarounds to customers
  • Help monitor changes to the existing code base to ensure on-going supportability and robustness of software solutions.
  • Support Incident management & reporting
  • Anticipates potential problems and develops solutions needed to resolve them.
  • Communicate project progress, timelines, and impact of changes clearly to project manager / team lead.
  • Be able to engage directly with the customers to discuss technical options and future plans

Experience:
  • Language Skills: Java, SQL, Node JS, HTML 5, CSS 3, Object Oriented JavaScript, Twitter Bootstrap, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, XML, UML, jQuery, AJAX.
  • Application & Web Servers: Apache Tomcat, Jboss 5.1, IBM WebSphere 9
  • A minimum of 8 years experience working in Java development is essential. This is a senior position so you will need to be able to take ownership of projects
  • Mastering of web and cloud technologies Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies
  • IOC Frameworks: Autofac, Structure Map(Desirable)
  • Build Tools: ANT, Maven
  • Scrum – Experience in Agile Scrum based environment is essential
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle
  • Experience developing and supporting high-volume public-facing web applications.(Desirable)
  • Experience with XHTML, jQuery/JavaScript and AJAX.(Desirable)
  • RDBMS / NO SQL: Oracle 9i/10g, MySQL, IBM DB2, MongoDB, Couchbase
  • Frameworks: Struts2, Hibernate 3, Spring, Angular JS, Node JS, React JS, Spring Boot 2.
  • A full understanding of different frameworks, tools and other relevant technologies
  • Experience of DevOps CI/CD pipeline (Desirable)
  • Design Pattern: MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, Abstract Factory, Singleton, Facade
  • Some Knowledge of OOP and common design patterns. (Desirable)
  • 5 - 12 years experience
  • Containerization is essential, so candidate should be familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
  • OS: Windows, UNIX
  • Tools: Eclipse, Tortoise SVN, IBM RTC, GIT, Oracle SQL Developer, SONAR,
  • ORM Frameworks: nHibernate, Entity Framework, Dapper(Desirable)
  • DOM Debugging Tools: Firebug, Chrome Developer, IE Profiler, SOAP-UI, Postman, Total Validator, WAVE, JAWS
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum/TDD(Desirable)
