Job Description

Position: Field Service Engineer

Location: New Jersey/ New York


What you will be responsible for:

  • Assist sales and marketing team with business opportunities as technical support and to promote service contracts.
  • Completing all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on time and to the levels outlined in the service manual. All documentation and related logs to be completed in a correct and timely manner.
  • May include training of clinical staff on designated equipment.
  • Respond to customer calls for diagnostic equipment during office hours. Customers should be contacted within 24hrs of initial call. Key account customer must take priority.
  • Take responsibility for the effective management of the service area. This includes promoting new contract and liaising with the customer for renewals.
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and Liaising with the service supervisor to ensuring they are calibrated. Maintains spare parts inventory, company vehicle (if provided), and other company equipment and supplies in good condition and working order.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining both parts and loaner inventories allocated to them.
  • Take a project management role for installations within the service territory and coordinating the installation of large orders if required.


Who we are looking for:

  • Obtain license for performing service as if the local regulation requirement.
  • Other knowledge and skills: Technically proficient in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of all Mindray products in the region.
  • Education levels: hold a bachelor’s degree, with 2 years' experience servicing electronic equipment, or a High School Diploma and 6 or more years' experience servicing electronic equipment.
  • Well-organized, able to function independently under a minimum of supervision.
  • Profession: electronic biomedical or relevant professional category.
  • Experience: At least more than two years in the field of IVD product medical services industry work experience.
  • Computer Skill: skilled use of computers and office software capabilities.
  • Language Skill: Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Customer-oriented, with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic demeanor and a can-do attitude.
  • Local driving license, good driving record, comfortable travelling on a daily basis and occasional overnight stay.
