Summary/Objective


The PC Technician assists our customers with endpoint technology equipment including PCs, printers, monitors, scanners, phones, peripherals and other related equipment. The PC Technician will maintain all required documentation. This position requires excellent customer service skills as it will involve a high level of direct customer interaction via the IT Helpdesk. Our goal is to provide a positive experience for our customers.


Essential Functions


  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Perform technical support for personal computer hardware/software
  • Maintain Inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses used corporate wide
  • Citrix Profiles
  • Provide support for break/fix issues
  • Login Scripts
  • DHCP
  • Windows Profiles
  • Group Policies
  • Create/modify/delete approved security changes per service level objectives
  • Setup and maintain all corporate workstations and limited network related equipment
  • Contributes to and maintains standard procedures
  • 24x7 on call support based on team member rotation
  • Practice knowledge of Active Directory functions such as:
  • Provide technical support via IT Helpdesk for PC users corporate wide
  • DNS
  • Monitor the corporate Help Desk
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Perform problem diagnostics, resolution, and follow-up
  • User Administration

Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager.


Travel


Travel up to 10% of the time.


Required Education And Experience


  • Work Experience: 2 years LAN experience in a Microsoft environment
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to sit/stand for long periods daily, answering phone calls and looking at computer monitors for extended time lengths
  • Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space
  • Physical Environment: Normal office work setting for a manufacturing company
  • Computer Skills: Advanced troubleshooting skill in current Microsoft operating systems
  • Travel: Ability to travel to Curt’s locations include Mexico and Canada
  • Education: Associate Degree in a technical/related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with end users and peers


Preferred Education and Experience:


  • Computer Skills: Certification in current Microsoft operating system technology; iSeries basic knowledge
  • Technical Skills: Power Shell knowledge


Work Authorization/Security Clearance


Must be able to pass E-Verify.
