Environmental Tectonics Corporation, a growing company located just outside of Philadelphia, PA is looking for a full time IT Technician to join our talented team. Candidate must be familiar with modern operating system concepts in a multitude of OS environments including Windows and linux/unix based systems. Must have familiarity x86 architecture, networking principles, and storage management for the purpose of integration into aero training product solutions. Candidate must have an aptitude for diagnosing and trouble-shooting both hardware and software issues in support of product portfolio both on-site and in the field. Candidate should be adaptable and capable of applying technological solutions which include but are not limited to: fixing and repairing PCs, specifying technological components for solutions to meet product specifications, contact and communicate with customers for the purpose of providing off-site product support. Travel will be a requirement at times. Familiarity with flight controls and/or flight simulation a plus but not mandatory. Willing to train along the way for qualified personnel. The successful applicant will have:

• Understanding of concepts in input/output based design principles
• Aptitude with multi-generational Windows-based PCs (ie WinXP/7/10/11)
• Demonstrate a grasp of client/server architecture concepts
• Basic knowledge in configuring linux/unix-based operating systems
• Ability to work within distributed system environments
• Comprehension of IP networking basics

Your duties will include:

• Travel occasionally to off-site locations for the purpose of supporting new product deployment or supporting existing product.
• Integrate new technological solutions in coordination with new product development to meet required specifications.
• Provide product technical support for our clientele both on/off-site.
• Construction of commercial and embedded PC system designs using commercial off the shelf products.
• Carrying out various software testing on a multitude of aero training-related applications and systems including flight simulators and motion-based platforms.
• Trouble-shoot a multitude of computer and/or software related issues
