Job Description
Candidates must submit application by 7/14/2023 in order to be considered for first round interviews. The IT Systems Administrator works in partnership with the rest of the Information Support Services team to insure quality customer service and high reliability in all technical aspects for the end users. The primary responsibility will include, but is not limited to: end user support and training, program installation, and maintaining agency network and server-based systems. Work also includes collaboration on projects such as: conducting technical needs assessments, creating installation plans, analyzing and correcting network malfunctions, serving as system administrator and enhancing operating environments; and related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma/GED plus a minimum of 5 years of technical support work experience; or, Associates Degree in Computer Science plus 3 years of technical work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate advanced computer skills. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Demonstrated experience and knowledge in IT Project Management. Server configuration, virtualization, and troubleshooting. Design, build, and maintain network and standalone database systems. VoIP telecommunication systems, setup and management. Web design, Search Engine Optimization, and social media management. Office 365, G-Suite or other cloud based services. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Driver qualifications are required for this position. Must have valid Oregon driver's license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and satisfactory drive record for the previous five years. Successful registration with the Child Care Division's Central Background Registry. Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Provides effective technical and personal support to all MWVCAA programs. This may include training, regular and special reporting, program information system management, and mentoring other IT staff. Maintains compliance with risk management framework; assists with facility-wide risk assessments. Aids in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation, network and system hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Manages Active Directory domain controller configuration and group policy administration, workstation patching, and antivirus security. Consults with the IT Director to ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Assists in preparing and monitoring the IT budget. Maintains continuous work-related learning regarding best technical practices and procedures that relate to immediate and anticipated assignments by attending program training events, degree and certificate programs, or comparable special studies by arrangement with the program administration, and by reading materials related to their field and specialties. Adheres to software licensing and EULA requirements assisting in maintaining active system and software inventory. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
