Areas Of Expertise Include Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting, And Maintenance Of The Following
The IT Systems Administrator I is responsible for assisting the Director or Manager of IT in maintaining the design and integrity of internal IT systems.
  • Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune
  • Help desk support relating to internal IT systems and network infrastructure
  • Hardware inventory management through full life cycle – procurement through decommissioning
  • Project management and support for various business initiatives, including moves, upgrades, and refreshes of equipment and/or facilities.
  • Cloud-based data storage and backups
  • Network Equipment e.g. Firewalls, Switches, and Wireless Access Points
  • Windows Operating Systems
  • VoIP Phone Systems
The IT Systems Administrator I position is designed to be a full-time, salaried position, completed in about 40-45 hours per week. The schedule will vary based on needs, but primary support hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Rotating on-call duties with limited weekend and evening work will be required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Documentation -Keeping good notes in tickets, staying organized with follow-up items during projects, and updating documentation as needed. Many tasks performed will require following detailed documentation and checklists to ensure consistency in process and procedure.
  • Monitoring and Automation – Monitoring various dashboards, identifying, investigating, and addressing errors and anomalies. Continually striving to improve efficiency of tools by organizing and automating tasks wherever possible.
  • Projects - Assisting with IT projects of varying scale and complexity in addition to day-to-day IT support. Project coordination and implementation with the IT team, including various stages, checks, and collaboration. Incorporates pre-project work, interacting with users and/or vendors while onsite, and following up on technical issues that arise.
  • Supporting IT Environments – Performing technical support tasks for users, both onsite and remotely.
  • User Environment Expertise – Comfortable knowledge of our specific IT systems and being able to handle complex problems for users when they arise. Other technical team members may be collaborated with for assistance, but admins should be confident implementing solutions as assigned and know where to look to solve issues alone when necessary.
  • Comprehensive Troubleshooting - Identifying when a big picture issue needs to be addressed instead of using a patch or workaround and bring the issue to the attention of the IT Director.
  • Customer Service - Highly interactive with end users. Requires a “customer” focused attitude.
The ideal candidate will have the following Qualifications and Experience
  • Initiative - A self-starter with the desire to learn new technologies and methodologies, while critically determining business impact. Should enjoy working with technology and possess a natural curiosity for related topics. Willingness to jump in and tackle problems and drive them through to resolution.
  • Administrator Experience – Real world / practical experience in a Windows environment, in both server and cloud based active directories. In addition, experience with basic to intermediate networking concepts, and the ability to design and support VoIP phone systems. Familiarity and comfort with a variety of management dashboards. Proficient in Windows PowerShell. Familiar with computer hardware.
  • Multitasking – Essential need to organize, prioritize, and adapt on-the-fly. The role requires juggling many tasks, responsibilities, and requests, while ensuring that each user is personally assured of our dedication to assist them.
  • Communication- High level of communication with team members, end users, and occasionally third-party vendors. Correspondence occurs with many individuals, all with varying levels of technical understanding. Must have the ability to communicate technical concepts in a positive, clear, concise fashion, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexible Mobility – Assisting users across multiple locations daily. Many of our users can be aided remotely but solving issues on-site at clinic locations will also occur when necessary.
  • Professionalism- Steady professionalism is imperative to handle demanding users and stressful environments in a calm, and cooperative manner. Retaining a respectful and polite attitude during challenging circumstances will be key to maintaining and building trust and positive ongoing relationships with users.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1-year Administrator Experience in both server and cloud based active directories. In addition, experience with basic to intermediate networking concepts, and the ability to assist with design and support of VoIP phone systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred. Certifications and/or related degree and equivalent combination of work experience may also be acceptable on a context specific basis.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 / annually
