Job Description
Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACOFS, G-6 FORT BELVOIR, VA 22060. Responsibilities Coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. Conduct planning and delivery of customer support services. Manage the Regional/Enterprise IT Services to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization. Document requirements for IT acquisitions to include but not limited to Desktop Computers and peripherals, server hardware, software (GOTS and COTS), and storage. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with Information Technology as it applies to system administration, customer support, system engineering and design, system Lifecycle and acquisition support to assist in hardware and software products with potential application to current and projected operation requirements using technology innovations. In addition to the specialized experience listed above, your resume must show you have Information Technology-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as defined: (1) Attention to Detail
