Our Information Services Division has a fantastic opportunity for an IT Business Analyst for their Business and Enterprise Technology Solutions Team!

Duties

As an IT Business Analyst, you will bring your collaborative and technical experience to this team of Business Analysts that support a variety of legacy and COTS systems. Utilizing your time management and organizational abilities, your day will include researching and gathering requirements for several systems in varying degrees of a lifecycle, evaluating new systems, developing estimates for Legislation and other work efforts. Your capacity to adjust to change will come into play with projects that could include One Washington remediation for DOL's systems. You will be part of the Business and Enterprise Technology Solutions team, working with multiple divisions and other state agencies. Your diligence and project management skills will be critical throughout the lifecycle of many projects. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will be an asset to this team, by facilitating and providing guidance to managers, product owners, product and project managers, testers, development staff, and peers during all phases of the project and production support. project and production support.

Some of what you will do:

  • Review and approve test plans and software changes to ensure they meet or exceed business expectations.
  • Create business process, analysis and requirement documents including system flow diagrams.
  • Analyze Legislative bills, gather requirements and estimate costs to implement required system changes.
  • Document system functionality and design decisions that support implementation of new and current business processes.
  • Support vendor management processes and submit recommendations for core enhancements.

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • Seven (7) years of combined relevant education and experience in an IT related field. This experience may include consulting, business analysis, business process and application.

Education to experience equivalency

Associate's degree = 2 years | Bachelor’s degree = 4 years | Master's degree = 5 years

What you may bring that will set you apart:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice Business Analysis methodology based on the International Institute of Business Analysis, Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK Guide and Standards).
  • Agile, Dev Ops, ITIL Training.
  • Certification as a Lean consultant. (Yellow or Green Belt).
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) Or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to Information Technology.
