Job Summary: Under general direction designs, supports, maintains, and evaluates computer hardware and software.

Knowledge And Skills (Education)

• Good knowledge of Automotive OEM CAD transfer methods.
• Good knowledge of both UNIX and Windows OS environments.
• Good organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• May be required to have proficiency in languages other than English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• 6 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Good management skills.
• Associates degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Good knowledge in computer networking.
• Good knowledge of Automotive OEM CAD environments (Catia, Unigraphics, Teamcenter, IDEAS).
• Good knowledge of general PC computer systems.

Major Accountabilities

• Applies patches and firmware upgrades to servers and other network equipment as required.
• Develops, tests and implements Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Maintains and upgrades desktop and server operating systems and computing images including virus protection.
• Assists users with day-to-day computer usage issues.
• Consults on IT related asset purchases.
• All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by Supervisor.
• Maintains and upgrades OEM CAD environments per specifications.
• Required to work extra hours and travel to meet Customer needs.
• Typically manages 0 – 2 employees.
• Administer user accounts in Windows and UNIX environments.
• Maintains IT records.
• Manages CAD Data Administration.
• Installs, configures, and maintains computer servers, and assist user community with general computer usage.

Working Conditions

• 80% office,20% plant floor (PPE required)

• Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
• Overtime as required
