A diversified alternative investment manager, located in Boston, is searching for an experienced Investment Operations Associate to join their team! Reporting directly to the COO, this person will be responsible for portfolio operations, accounting, and reporting, as well as monitoring cash activity. If you’re interested, please keep reading!

Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounting and performance calculations
• Assist with the annual audit process
• Assist Investment Staff with the cash aspects of rebalancing
• Monitor cash activity
• Assist with all accounting processes including leading the monthly close
• Responsible for the review (and accuracy) of monthly performance reports
• Maintain and reconcile the cash ledger with daily reconciliation
• Assist with all tax matters
• Assist with the operational aspects of the portfolio

Qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting and/or investment operations
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting or finance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• High level of professional maturity, integrity, judgment, and discretion
• Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, Fridays from home)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous asset management experience preferred
