GrowthPoint Technology Partners is a leading boutique technology investment bank looking for a talented individual to join us as an Investment Banking Associate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a college graduate with strong grades, who enjoys technology and has two or more years working as an investment banker with early stage, venture-backed, technology companies. We expect a successful candidate to have graduated an MBA program.

We expect the successful candidate to show a willingness to take on a variety of assignments and be flexible as to work responsibilities. Initially the position will be split roughly 25/75 between analytical and client management requirements although we would expect the client engagement management component to grow over time.

Essential Job Functions

• Managing due diligence for the firm’s clients
• Developing industry, market sector and company research and analysis
• Managing transactions (M&A, valuations, private placements) and supporting senior deal team
• Interfacing with clients on a regular basis
• Developing financial and valuation models
• Preparing company presentations and other client materials
• Calling investors or acquirers

Areas of focus for the firm include all areas of technology, encompassing infrastructure and security software, enterprise software, storage, semiconductor, systems and communications technologies, mobile and gaming.

Prerequisites & Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from a top tier university is preferred
• Record of academic excellence with proven leadership ability
• Two+ years working in investment banking
• Resourcefulness, energy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technology and finance
• Familiarity with financial statements, spreadsheets, and accounting
• Strong client focus and relationship management skills
• SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 required
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
