Investment Banking Associate Jobs

We are a well-known global investment bank expanding our Los Angeles-based healthcare team. We are seeking an experienced investment banking analyst or first-year associate who has extensive M&A experience and a notable list of deals successfully completed, preferably in the healthcare and life sciences verticals.

Responsibilities:

• Developing valuation analyses and models (projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, historical M&A transactions, etc.)
• Performing key steps in the sale execution process
• Supporting senior bankers in establishing relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients
• Interacting with senior bankers to help build the firm (training, recruiting, mentoring, etc.)
• Compiling prospective acquirer lists and contacting acquirers
• Organizing, reviewing, and analyzing due diligence processes and materials
• Preparing comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations and marketing materials

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of M&A experience
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
• Financial modeling experience, to include DCF and LBO
• Strong written and oral presentation skills
• Deep understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis, and business valuation
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for excellence
• A working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software programs
