Investment Analyst/Associate Jobs

We’re hiring an early-career investor at Conviction. We are full-stack investors with a focus on AI, and building a new, world class early-stage venture firm from the ground up. This post lays out what the Conviction analyst/associate role is and how you apply for it. Role and comp will be competitive and commensurate with experience (generally recruiting for 0-4 years). Every investor is treated like an owner.

As an analyst, you will engage in all investing activities, including research, writing and developing theses, meeting with founders, doing due diligence and contributing to investment decisions. You’ll also support the portfolio, and work broadly to build the firm through our ecosystem programs. It’s a startup firm - no work is above or below you.

We are looking for exceptionally smart, entrepreneurial, competitive, truth-seeking, hard-working, commercial folks who thrive in ambiguity, learn quickly, are committed to quality and craft, and act like owners. We care about ethics and play for the long term.

We expect most candidates will come from a financial, product or technical background, but are interested in exceptional people whatever their early-career experiences.

We’ll select a smaller group for phone/video interviews and then a set of finalists for in-person meetings. Candidates should be available to start work in September 2023 in San Francisco.
