Job Description
Wellings Capital is a real estate private equity firm dedicated to helping investors protect and grow their wealth through commercial real estate. Our vision is to provide multi-generational financial security to our investors and become the premier provider of alternative passive investing opportunities for accredited investors. We're hiring an investment analyst to join our team as we scale from $110 million in equity under management to $200 million and beyond.
The mission for this role is to increase Wellings Capital's operator underwriting capacity, assist the Director of Investments with the due diligence process, and ensure company capital is wisely deployed over the long-term.
The Investment Analyst will play a critical role in driving investment underwriting and closing of new operators, investments, and joint ventures.
Job Type
This is a full-time, salaried position and it can be remote. Some travel may be required to visit properties and/or operators. The compensation will be structured as a base salary, a discretionary annual bonus, and carried interest in the Wellings Real Estate Income Fund, a $100 million fund.

  • Write an excellent due diligence report based on the Wellings process for every new operator added
  • Refine investment due diligence processes. Constant and never-ending improvement with an eye towards future growth and scalability. Seek to get faster, more precise, less redundancy, etc. for repeatable activities. Solicit feedback from other groups for best practices
  • Help monitor existing investments and support the IR and finance team as needed
  • Ensure due diligence stays on track with deadlines, which may include scheduling meetings and emailing operators with requests
  • Create role-specific process maps and use Trainual to track everything related to this role

  • 2+ years of experience in real estate, private equity, consulting, and/or investment banking
  • Technologically savvy and not intimidated by learning new technology
Benefits
  • Three weeks (15 days) paid vacation
