Job Description

Rocade Capital is looking for an enterprising Senior Investment Analyst located in Arlington, VA to be a key contributor to the investment process. We provide investment team members with a high level of responsibility and collaboration directly with the CIO. Our transaction teams are small in size, providing analysts with significant responsibilities and direct input into investment decisions early in your career.The role involves new investment analysis and decision modeling, existing portfolio tracking and monitoring, and the opportunity to explore new business areas as opportunities arise. Responsibilities

The role reports to the Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for:

  • Preparing and maintaining portfolio performance reporting and analysis for the Board and C-suite.
  • Keeping abreast of industry-related news flow and assisting with research reports on underlying subject matter topics.
  • Assisting in due diligence and financial statement analysis for new potential investments.
  • Preparing investment memos, presentation material, and term sheets. Writing research reports on prospective loans, analysis of data, earnings, and collateral valuation.
  • Partnering across functions including working with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Supporting the senior team on live deals and investment decisions.
  • Creating and maintaining financial models and scenario analysis, leveraging advanced Excel and modeling skills.


Qualifications

A successful candidate will:

  • Be able to demonstrate advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint, as well as financial statement understanding and preparation experience.
  • Be highly detail oriented, quick learner, resourceful, very motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Have 5+ years of relevant work experience in corporate finance or as a buy-side analyst at an asset management or litigation finance firm is preferred.
  • Thrive on being a problem solver with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Be a true self-starter capable of accomplishing complicated tasks with limited supervision, with the ability to quickly ramp up coverage on multiple projects.
  • Have an undergraduate degree from a leading university and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and reprioritize a must.
