Inventory Data Analyst Jobs

FPL Food, LLC is seeking an Inventory Reporting Clerk to work at the Augusta, Georgia facility. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent working experience. Preferably with a minimum of 2 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will report to the Augusta Facility Plant Controller.

SUMMARY OF POSITION Prepare daily inventory reports and be a backup to both plants’ cost accountants/financial analysts; Be able to balance and reconcile records and be able to research and resolve any issues related to inventory; Work with facilities personnel to continuously improve the reporting system; Support analysis requirements from Management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare daily inventory reports.

2. Maintain accurate inventory records for raw material and finished goods and reconcile monthly inventories at all locations with the general ledger.

3. Run various reports to verify totals on weekly production summary, investigate and resolve differences.

4. Provide backup to the plant cost accountants/financial analysts in preparing the daily and weekly gross margin reports for facilities. The reports include raw material and finished goods inventory analysis, reconciliation of raw material cost, and sales revenue actual vs. forecast.

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent working experience

Experience 5 to 7 years accounting or financial background with minimum of 2 years accounting experience in manufacturing environment, Protein Processing environment preferred.

• Must be detailed oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and see them through to completion.
• Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, and intermediate to advanced in MS Excel programs.
• Must have the ability to learn new programs quickly.
• Must have the capability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and timely manner.
• Possess solid decision-making skills and the ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Must be able to work in a team environment with varied departments and diverse personalities.
• Must have strong technical skills involving inventory reconciliation , costs analysis and month-end close.
