The Inventory Control Specialist will provide direct, hands-on verification of sample inventory to ensure quality execution of BLS policies and procedures as it relates to sample storage. This position will be essential in the implementation and monitoring of procedures to ensure optimum sample storage utilization.
The Inventory Control Specialist will assist the management team in the development, implementation and management of a formal program to perform scheduled and random QC audits related to the sample inventory for integrity and accuracy.
- Perform thorough research using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
- Lead sample inventory verification program to track, report and research inventory discrepancies to make necessary correction identified through sample inventory verification.
- Perform and document quarterly review of randomly selected sample storage environments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Analyze, maintain and reconcile inventory verification to ensure client and internal requirements are met.
- Monitor specialty sample category segregation to ensure client needs are met.
Requirements
- One-year experience as a full-time BioBank Technician at Brooks and shown proficiency in all essential functions of a BioBank Technician
- GMP/GTP/CLIA Experience, preferred
- High School Diploma/GED
- Life Sciences Degree, preferred
