Inventory And Production Planner

Downeast is on a mission to be the #1 cider in the nation, and sampling consumers on our products is the primary way that we introduce consumers to our products. As a Regional Field Marketing Manager, you will be in charge of executing a sampling program in a region, coordinating between brand ambassadors, sales reps, and accounts to ensure we sample as many consumers as efficiently as possible.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and manage 12 month rolling supply plan based on 18 month rolling production forecast
• Coordinate inbound materials to support daily production schedule
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers through established RFQ process
• Work with director of supply chain on material contracts and supplier RFQs
• Forecast and execute purchase orders to support production plan
• Work with the accounting team to reconcile discrepancies between POs and Invoices
• Maintain daily production and packaging schedule within ERP system and communicate with relevant stakeholders
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, supplier performance, and achieved cost savings and schedule attainment
• Manage inventory levels across warehousing locations, including reducing storage costs and optimizing short-term inventory turnover

Who You Are:

• Experience with managing a rolling 12 month supply plan
• A degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field
• Understanding of BOMs, cost savings strategy, RFQs
• 2-4 years of purchasing and scheduling experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience creating and maintaining daily production schedules
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances

Bonus Points if you Have:

• Experience in food and beverage, specifically beverage manufacturing
• Data analysis and presentation skills
• APICS certifications (any)
