Inventory Analyst (Remote) Jobs

SUMMARY:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing consigned inventory and general warehouse stock. The Inventory Specialist collaborates with the Customer Service and Sales teams to review and manage zero on hand, analyze & adjust minimum and maximums stocking levels at the warehouse branches & with customers. The Inventory Specialist is also responsible for collaborating with the sales management on special inventory needs or requirements and provides summaries and/or analysis based on the Recalculation Report. Tasks also include analyzing minimums and maximums, assuring vending accounts are meeting customer’s inventory needs, reviewing fluctuations in inventory use, generating inventory reports, reconciliations and problem solving any issues of stocking levels reported from customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inform Inventory & Procurement Manager of the location and quantity of possible item returns
• Collaborate with sales, customer service and the customer with zero-on-hand, minimums and maximums and stocking levels
• Appoint items status as non-stocking or stocking
• Perform any general needs for consigned inventory along with special projects as required by management
• Generate inventory reports through ERP system
• Reports to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager
• Analyze and review item warehouse velocity to recommend stock status changes and purchase path changes
• Receive information from customer service; evaluate and troubleshoot any issues with stock levels
• Research and perform customer vending returns
• Assure vending accounts meet customer needs; assess overstocked or dead stock report information with the sales rep
• Apply strategic forecasting to ensure the availability of all necessary materials required to support the supplying and vending process
• Collaborate with sales reps across the country to review special customer requirements or needs
• Review fluctuations in inventory use and production in collaboration with sales and customer service
• Other duties as assigned
• Procure vending expedite reports when required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Sound judgment and shrewd decision-making skills
• Work independently or as part of a team, changing gears when required, and multitasking
• Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented
• 2+ years of related inventory management experience a plus
• Excellent computer skills: Internet Research and intermediate to advanced MS office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and data entry is required
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or certification equivalency preferred
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; self-starter and self-disciplined
• Work under pressure of deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude and calm demeanor
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to analyze inventory data and plan appropriate stocking levels
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Accuracy and attention to detail required
