Internship Digital Experience Finance And Metrics Remote

The student intern will be working on finance and performance metrics for the Digital Experience organization. The intern will get a grounds-eye view of a technology organization’s expenditures and how they are justified and accounted for against the budget. The intern will be expected to gather information through written materials and inter-personal communication, generate reports with that information, and provide useful analysis that links financial data to daily operations. This position will provide a good basis for further endeavors as an analyst within or outside of technology organizations, and practical business experience for data scientists.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Build contextual knowledge about company and department operations.
• Analyze data using basic tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, e-mail, asking questions) to create ad-hoc, human-readable views into budgets, expenditures, and variances.
• Manages multiple deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Show punctuality and professionalism in your attitude, attendance, confidentiality, and ability to deliver work or get assistance in a timely manner.
• Produce and continuously improve existing reports for financial and other relevant metrics.
• Update internal documents and other data entry.
• Identify, collect, clean, and analyze data pulled from various sources, including our enterprise resource planning software.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have status as a sophomore, junior or senior as of the end of the spring term (or be enrolled in an applicable graduate program.
• Hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.
• Be able to work full-time during normal business hours for this summer.
• Be available to begin employment between mid-May and mid-June.

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE: Currently enrolled and active in any educational degree program that aligns with our various businesses.

EXPERIENCE: With proper education credentials no experience necessary. Previous work experience preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:

• Know how to Google/Stack Overflow/Reddit/Tik-Tok your way out of trouble.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines while maintaining composure during stressful situations occurring as a result of workloads and/or deadlines.
• Ability to comprehend consequences of various situations and make appropriate individuals aware of same for decision making.
• Excellent working knowledge of computers and company standard software; Internet research experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform necessary mathematical computations.
• Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts and other information.
• Have a command of usual Microsoft Excel features and the capacity to learn more
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is performed in a home office setting with no unusual hazards.
