JOB SUMMARY:
An advanced level of clinical nursing practice achieved through planned, individualized programs for increasing knowledge, skills, professionalism, and clinical nursing judgment. Functions as a role model at the expert level of practice, characterized by viewing situations, advanced clinical skills, teaching/mentoring of peers, acquisition of nursing knowledge, demonstration of leadership ability, and professional contributions to teams/units. Exhibits a comprehensive, intuitive grasp of clinical situations and is able to mobilize needed resources to achieve patient outcomes. Is innovative and initiatives impact standards of care in the department & across the organization. Requires a
commitment to patient/family, development of self/other, acquisition of advanced skills & knowledge, and fulfillment of unit & institutional goals. These skills and expertise are utilized while transferring stable and critically ill patients from all inpatient units and the emergency department to other areas of the facility. In addition will accompany an Advanced Practice Provider from RCHSD Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to transfer infants from Sharp Mary Birch hospital to RCHSD NICU when NICU CHET is out on calls. Understands basics of ambulance safety and neonatal transport equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing
3 years experience in NICU, PICU, CTICU or Critical Care Float Pool
Willing to assist with transfer of any age patient throughout facility
PALS
NRP
BLS
Specialty Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
5 years related experience
The current salary range for this position is $58.16 to $86.30
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
