• The team works on thousands of communication activities a year

Major Job Duties /Responsibilities:
• IT Communication Specialist partners with both IT and the Business to plan for and develop communication strategies and approaches for small, medium to extra-large/complex efforts and projects.
• IT Communication Specialist role consults with key requestor(s) to first identify the nature of communication (highly technical, HR, highly confidential, business process, information, etc.), define the target audience (stakeholder) and then develop a communication strategy that is best suited for solution adoption. This practitioner will use best practices and will leverage the most effective form of delivery for the messaging.
• Ensures that all IT communications are aligned with Client and IT communications branding and strategy. Assists managers in vetting communications approval with IT Senior Leadership and Global Communications (as necessary).
• IT Metrics: Develop and report on KPIs that detail and drive the work of internal IT communications, external IT communications, support of event mgmt, technology inclusion and business readiness activities
• Leverages use of social media/technology to distribute communications
• Develop and maintain collaborative technology vehicles
• Facilitate and Develop material and support IT Leadership Meetings and Events
• Support Business Change Readiness activities that are related to Internal IT transformations projects (training, communications and change management support)
• Define and Drive Brand Management of IT- slogans, creative marketing material
• Communications Feedback Surveys: Creates and administers surveys of IT communications audiences. Leverages survey results to provide recommendations for improving IT Communications, branding and strategy on an ongoing basis. Presents survey report and recommendations to OCIO Management and IT Senior Leadership.
Skills/Knowledge:
• 3-7 years' experience in a communication, change management, or brand marketing role
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to edit
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced Office skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Collaboration Tools)
• Strong planning and organizational skills, follows business process and drives to meet deadlines
• Highly motivated/ambitious
• Agile and innovative thinker
• Experience working in a technology environment and/or large corporation
• Project management
Minimum Formal Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications or related field and relevant IT work experience
