Looking to gain experience in data engineering while working with a team of experienced software developers and data scientists? Dermalogica is currently seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join our team in Carson. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to help build scalable and robust data pipelines, develop, and maintain databases and data warehouses, and create data visualizations to drive business decisions. You will also assist in building machine learning models that power our product recommendations and other data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of machine learning models to power product recommendations and other data-driven solutions.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Develop and maintain databases and data warehouses using SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based technologies.
• Design and develop data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or PowerBI to help stakeholders understand data insights.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Collaborate with data scientists to ensure that data is properly prepared and cleaned for machine learning models.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ensure the smooth flow of data from multiple sources into data warehouses.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, or related field
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Scala
• Knowledge of databases, data warehouses, and data modeling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This is a part-time, paid internship $30-$35/hr position YOU MUST LIVE within 45 minutes of our offices in Carson, California THIS IS A LONG TERM 6MOS-1YR INTERNSHIP
