Job Description
Overview:
The intern will support maintaining CAP4Kids Columbus social media accounts, up-to-date listing of family resources on the CAP4Kids Columbus website, and other marketing initiatives.

This is a year-long internship that will go from April 2023-April 2024.

Responsibilities:
  • Update the CAP4Kids website and verify agency listings
  • Submit changes to website to the Community Resource Coordinator
  • Support Community Resource Coordinator with monthly newsletter
  • Researching and validating referral sources
  • Analyzing social media data, creating goals, and presenting data to the CAP4Kids team
  • Creating monthly editorial and content calendars for social content and ads
  • Creating daily social media posts and bi-monthly advertisements to support Cap4Kids 2018 social goals
  • Utilizing a social media management tool
  • Up-to-date listing of family resources for the CAP4Kids Columbus Website
  • Help with strategic mailings
  • Promote CAP4Kids resources to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure contact information on CAP4Kids Columbus website is up to date
  • Other marketing initiatives
  • Input updates into website administration tool
  • Record changes on category print out
  • Maintaining CAP4Kids social media accounts
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • A passion for child advocacy.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail along with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively and creatively present information in both written and oral form.
  • A self-motivated learner that takes initiative and can work independently to complete tasks.
  • Experience with social media, Facebook Ads Manager, marketing, website design and management is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Marketing, English or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff, donors, and volunteers.

Minimum Physical Requirements:
  • Standing/walking- Approx. Time Spent (5-10%)
  • Typing on a keyboard/on computer- Approx. Time Spent (70-75%)
  • Talking in person/on the phone- Approx. Time Spent (10-15%)
