Job Description
ENGIE is seeking an intern who has an interest in energy, sustainability, and engineering. The Intern will explore the intersection of sustainability and real-world implementation of sustainable design & construction. You will work to obtain an understanding of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate programming and work towards your certificate. Mentoring opportunities from individuals working across ENGIE’s business units will be included in the 7-week internship. The program includes interaction with the national cohort of interns across ENGIE.


What you’ll do:


  • Engage in weekly national intern conference call
  • Meet with your group weekly
  • Complete research, readings, and writing independently
  • Participate in Zoom classes with students from around California
  • Performs related duties as assigned
  • Carry out a final project


What you bring:


  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • An interest in energy, sustainability, and engineering
  • Students who have completed, or will take this coming year, AP Environmental Sciences, Physics, Green Construction, and Engineering courses are preferred
  • Must be an enrolled student or graduating senior at Bassett Unified School District
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Ability to use a company computer, calculator
  • Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Learn all safety aspects of the job


Additional Information/Conditions:


  • Eligible for a hybrid schedule consisting of in-office and work-from-home opportunities
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions
