INTERIOR DESIGNER

Elms Interior Design is a vibrant interior design firm focused on high-end residential design. We are looking for a full-time experienced interior designer to join our design team in the role of Project Manager! The qualified applicant must have solid experience managing all phases of interior design development from inception to installation and simultaneously project manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity. This position has high client, contractor, and vendor interaction on a regular basis. Qualified candidates must possess excellent project management skills, be especially detail-oriented, resourceful with a highly refined design sense, enthusiastic interpersonal communication skills, a client-centered focus, and the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities Include:

• Construction management
• Contribute to the development of design concepts, color, lighting, and all furnishings
• Coordination of multiple installations of furnishings for projects of varying complexity
• Review contractor/vendor numbers with precise order tracking, and installation scheduling
• Manage residential projects from conception to completion in the role of Project Manager
• Experience with and production of construction and design drawing sets
• Knowledge of design processes, including FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections
• Create and maintain schedules, budget spreadsheets, proposals, and purchase orders

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills to be considered:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• A high level of proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign, Design Manager, and Microsoft Office
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with prior employment in high-end residential interior design
