Tri-County Technical College invites internal applicants to apply for the role of Interim Dean for Engineering and Industrial Technology. The Interim Dean for Engineering and Industrial Technology is responsible for the leadership, management, and student success of the programs within the Engineering and Industrial Technology division. The successful candidate should have the ability to serve, communicate with, and work with diverse populations; displays excellent communication and record-keeping skills; displays integrity in all actions; continuously aware of self, institution, and other stakeholders including students, employees, industry partners, and the community; effective at building and sustaining relationships; maintains an innovative mindset; ability to engage employees and maintain motivation; ability to develop self and others.


Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To


Program Management


Lead and manage the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all division programs to meet the needs of target constituencies and to ensure program viability. Direct strategic enrollment planning for the division to optimize recruitment, retention, and engagement.


Division Leadership and Service


Provide vision, direction, and leadership for the division in order to meet the College's mission and strategic plan. Foster relationships within the division, academic affairs, institution, and with external stakeholders. Participate in activities on and off campus


that promote division and College goals. Facilitate internal and external communication.


Employee Accountability and Advocacy


Cultivate a high-performing team of faculty and staff and provide appropriate employee development, coaching, and evaluation. Maximize employee advocacy and accountability in order to facilitate employee engagement, development, and high performance. Direct the development and evaluation of division faculty and staff to ensure the division meets its goals through developing and empowering its people.


Student Advocacy and Success


Direct divisional student advocacy in order to maximize the utilization of support services, and provide issue resolution, and the educational experience. Collaborate with student services and enrollment management to deliver a high-quality, holistic educational experience.


Resource Management


Align physical, human, and fiscal resources in college goals and mission. Ensure compliance with College and State policy and procedure as well as accrediting and regulatory agencies, as applicable.


Other Duties


Serve, as appropriate, on college committees and project teams. Serve on external advisory boards and committees as appropriate. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Performs other activities or responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum And Additional Requirements


A bachelor’s degree in a related field plus five (5) years of related work experience, with at least three (3) years of leadership experience.
