The US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center serves to research, develop, and evaluate trusted communications and networking technologies to transition operationally relevant solutions to the war fighter through employment of a dedicated and superior workforce, world class facilities and global partnerships. We are seeking an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist to support our Air Systems Division.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses model architectures and strategies from vendors and academia and performs evaluations of vendor-developed AiTR algorithms.
- Improves AiTR training and evaluation techniques and pipelines and forms robust training sets and sequestered test sets as required.
- Develops schemes for effective ATR algorithms combining or fusing data from multi-source sensing systems.
- Trains, tests, and deploys Machine Learning (ML) models, with particular emphasis on Computer Vision applications.
- Researches and incorporates latest Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) advancements into lab efforts, maximizing competitiveness of in-house Aided Target Recognition (AiTR) baseline algorithms.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
- Proficient in analyzing engineering/scientific data for use in program/project improvement and/or troubleshooting
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (ABET accredited) program, or a closely related discipline
- Experience performing engineering lifecycle activities or research/development to facilitate the procurement of products, goods and/or services needed to meet program/project requirements
- Leading/participating on an engineering/scientific program or project.
