Job Description

Desired Traits:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role with strong understanding of integration concepts, patterns, and practices.
  • Expert level experience with integration protocols and standards such as Accord XML*, XML, Rest, SOAP, JSON
  • Message Queuing technologies such as Rabbit MQ, Active MQ, Apache Kafka
  • Experience programming with XML, Python, .Net, C#
  • Experience working with Boomi Integration Platform
  • Expert level experience with integration technologies such as API gateways, ESBs, iPaaS
  • Experience with Scripting languages (ex JavaScript, Powershell, Etc)

Plusses:

  • Security Mechanisms like OAuth, SSL
  • Data Transformation Techniques: XSLT, XPath
  • Insurance industry experience & knowledge of Annuity/Life products
  • Experience with Mulesoft

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is seeking a talented Integration Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient integration solutions for a top Insurance Company in the Des Moines, IA area. This person will be crucial in leading and implementing solutions and communication for data exchanges between multiple software systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in System Integration, APIs, and data format creation. Other responsibilities include:

  • Analyze existing software systems and identify integration points while providing recommendations
  • Develop and implement integration solutions and protocols to facilitate accurate data exchange
  • Cross-functional collaboration to understand and execute business requirements and integration strategies
  • Design, develop, and maintain integration components including APIs
