Job Description
Integrated Decision Team staffings will occur at critical junctures. The IDT will make recommendations regarding the student's readiness to reintegrate back into a traditional school setting. Additional IDT staffings will occur at, during and after reintegration to discuss the student's return to school or if Treatment Works Services should continue services for an additional period of time. The goal of the IDT is to ensure that a shared risk decision is made with the family. These staffings are a prime example of believing in their success. The IDT team runs as a shared-risk, strengths-based family staffing. The staffing is facilitated by the IDT Facilitator who will lead the discussion that will identify the needs and resources for Pinellas County student's k-12 and their families/guardians and will establish creative and effective safety and treatment plans. At critical junctures of the case, the IDT facilitator will assess the student/family's and educational situation to determine risk level, identify options, and arrive at a shared decision on the best approach to ensure student, family and school system can safety, mitigate risk, and provide assistance to the student and family. The IDT facilitator is charged with ensuring that decisions are made via shared risk decision making. The IDT facilitator will encourage student/family attendance and will ensure that the staffing is in line with the model. The IDT facilitator is the face of the agency and will need to incorporate the five promises when working with students and families in this setting.
