Job Description
We Are Hiring:
  • Schedule: Full-Time / Day Shift
  • Department: Behavioral Health
  • Location: Sparta, TN
  • Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands
What You Will Do:
Conduct interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions.
  • Document calls and related admission information.
  • Admit patients to the hospital and register outpatients with appropriate physician orders or transfer to another facility.
  • Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
  • Review all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence with hospital and regulatory policies.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
  • May staff a crisis hotline.
What You Will Need:
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
