Mental health technician
When you have at least six months of direct care experience (including individual or group counseling skills), one year of experience in a behavioral health setting and a minimum of one year of college, you can work as a mental health technician. As a member of the care team, mental health technicians assist with individual patient care and group therapy for patients in the hospital for behavioral health treatment.
