We are looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Learning and Development team to help with the design and development of software training solutions that meet the learning requirements of multiple audiences in the WorkWave business.
- Use assessment tools & solicited feedback to evaluate training effectiveness
- Design, develop, and author highly effective, results-driven curriculum and training material to support the learning and development needs of internal employees and external WorkWave customers
- Identify appropriate delivery approaches/media/methodologies (e.g., ILT, eLearning, video)
- Keep informed of new company products, changes, and strategies to ensure current and effective learning content
- Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs to conduct needs analysis; identifying the knowledge, skills, and abilities gaps of a targeted audience
- Obtain stakeholder and SME approval of training materials (following review cycles), and make needed revisions based on stakeholder feedback
- Work independently to meet deadlines while coordinating with and soliciting input on materials from subject matter experts; develop relationships and work with the subject matter experts to validate course design and content
- Excellent oral communication, presentation, writing, and editing skills
- Experience with common authoring and course development tools (Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, et al)
- 4-year degree
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers to deliver business results
- 2+ years working as an Instructional Designer in the SaaS industry
- Ability to communicate and execute clear, consistent, and applicable learning experiences aligned to organizational goals
- Strong working knowledge of adult learning theory and teaching techniques
- Familiarity with a wide array of training concepts, practices, and procedures
