Job Description
Description:

Performs in-Process and Final inspections of fuel cells in accordance with OEM or AMF specs and/or prints using GD&T Principle Practices, ISO 9001 & AS9100/9102 Quality Management Systems, First Article Inspection, best shop Practices/Metrics/Reporting. This position ensures product conformity to established requirements by evaluating product to customer and/or Engineering drawings, specifications and related documents including workmanship standards, ability to define/measure dimensions from specs and drawings and articulate/translate written dimensions into understandable directions:

1. Performs inspection in compliance with OEM and customer order specifications.

2. Acts as customer liaison for Source inspection activities.

3. Coordinates calibration activities and maintains records of various tools, instruments and gauges used for Product acceptance or Verification/Validation.

4. Ensures proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions.

5. Assists Engineering and Operations in the investigation of non-conformities.

6. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations

Requirements:

1. High school diploma / GED, or equivalent experience in manufacturing/aviation environment.

2. Minimum of (2) years of inspection experience applying GD&T Principles and Practices

3. Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators. Good manual dexterity and adept in use of precision measuring tools.

4. Knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality management systems; working knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements per AS9102

5. Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Practices, Metrics and Reporting.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, Specifically Word, Excel, Power Point.

7. Must possess appropriate mathematical and analytical skills to determine acceptability of product(s) based on established criteria.
