This individual will participate in all phases of the analytics lifecycle, including specifying data capture requirements, preparing and cleansing data, analyzing patterns and trends in structured and unstructured data that spans across all facets of the Enterprise, and synthesizing findings into presentations that convey insights and recommendations through storytelling, while maintaining a balance between the big picture and mastery of details. - Execute on analytics projects in response to business needs
- Apply automation techniques to manual processes to create efficiency, improve accuracy, and drive self-service utilization/consumption of data
- Work with management to develop and apply effective risk management processes and controls.
- Be a partner in the building of KPIs, KRIs and metrics
- Champion corporate policies and procedures
- Ability to document, dashboard, or process function lineage through the form of job aids and/or guides
- Apply visualization techniques to internal and external data sources to make accurate and actionable analyses in a timely fashion
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Create self-service dashboards for internal business partners to learn, understand, have access to, and derive insights from data, metrics, and KPIs
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field (i.e. Computer and Information Science, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Management of Information Systems) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in Analytics, Data Management, Reporting, or similar functions
- Effective communicator (written and verbal)
- Prior experience using tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, Alteryx, and Snowflake
- Able to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams (i.e. Corporate Risk, Segment Risk, IT, Chief Data Office, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work in a timely fashion
- Passion for continuous learning and development
- Familiarity with the banking industry and risk management concepts
- Prior experience using SQL, Python, R, SAS, or related languages for reporting and data analysis
