Who we’re looking for

The TFS Information and Digital Systems department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated DevOps Engineer. This role’s primary responsibility will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of solutions for TFS public & private cloud platforms, including physical & virtual servers, Kubernetes, databases, storage, and container platforms as well as enhancing TFS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities. This position will be responsible for developing a keen understanding of the IDS operating environment and contributing to the development and execution of a roadmap to deliver a world-class IT service delivery capability. This individual must demonstrate pro-active communications while maintaining and enhancing relationships with Domain stakeholders which include internal and external counterparts. High-level interpersonal skills are required to motivate and influence in often-challenging situations. Areas of focus include but are not limited to the following:

  • CI/CD Technologies and Processes.
  • IaC capabilities.
  • Contribute to Automated Software delivery.
  • Automation first ideation.
  • Provide technical experience to deliver automated capabilities for Cloud Platforms.
  • Provide containerization solutions.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Application Delivery, Enterprise Cloud Enablement team, and other IT leadership and must demonstrate an ability to build strong relationships and maintain positive partnerships with our customers and partners. This role must be able to communicate effectively to understand, assess, explain, and provide solutions when called upon to do so. Strong customer orientation and exemplary Customer Service focus are required. The role requires the individual to have varied experience across disciplines and technologies, as well as someone who can create, implement, and support best practices. They must be able to balance tactical day-to-day operational tasks while focusing on implementing support principles and long-planning principles within the environment that enable IDS’ long-term strategy. Additionally, this role must represent TFS’ interests and provide leadership.

What you bring

  • Experience working on a development team practicing agile scrum.
  • Experience leveraging DevOps tools GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Java or Python.
  • Experience building solutions in AWS architecture.
  • Experience working with CICD pipeline, EKS, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Datadog, and Sonar.
  • Experience as a Software Engineer/Developer.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps Toolchains and CI/CD.
