Job Description
This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.


Responsibilities


:


  • Identify and resolve false positive findings reported by information security tools.
  • Monitor events and triage alerts across various security platforms.
  • Assess security controls and evaluate the security posture of organizational internal controls.
  • Monitor email and ticketing systems for security-related issues and follow through until resolution.
  • Perform first-level incidence response and computer forensics activities.
  • Interest in bug bounty programs, responsible vulnerability disclosure, and ethical hacking.
  • Stay up-to-date with adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and IT news.
  • Operational support for information security tool alerts, triaging, and maintenance.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on information security-related projects and initiatives assigned.
  • Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of a system breach.
  • Evaluate third-party relationships for compliance with organization security standards.
  • Collaborate with IT department and business colleagues to develop security programs as an SME.
  • Execute information security activities such as vulnerability management, application development security, business continuity, networking, risk management, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive security matters.

Education And Experience Required


  • Have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in an IT-related field.
  • There are many types of backgrounds and experiences that can allow a person to be successful in this role. Knowledge And Skills


  • Good verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the information security field.
  • Experience using at least one of the project management tools like Jira etc.
  • Experience with public and private clouds.
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux environments, system upgrades and patching, and common security baselines.
  • 3 + years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, subnets, and networking equipment.
  • Security Project Management experience.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in CompTIA Security+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, any GIAC certification a plus.

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $50,500.00 - $116,200.00
