The Infrastructure Engineer (VMware) is responsible for providing a holistic view of all hosted enterprise systems as well as maintaining an efficient and secure enterprise infrastructure that offers uninterrupted service for our customers.

In addition to performing scheduled tasks such as daily checklists, you are also responsible for initial troubleshooting of issues. This position works closely with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer to bring issues to resolution quickly and efficiently.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Assist with escalations from Infrastructure Engineer I
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Build new complex environments for our Healthcare customers
  • Manage and maintain vmware environment
  • Configure storage systems
  • Drive design discussions and projects
  • Perform schedule tasks such as daily checklists and in on-call rotation
  • Collaborate in the creation of systems architectures,,
  • Improve application performance and reliability
  • Mentoring of junior engineers to help develop their technical skills
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts create incident reports and root cause analysis


Qualifications


Required Experience/Skills:

  • Experience deploying upgrading and maintaining of multiple VMWare Environments
  • Team player that embraces positive conflict
  • Experience implementing and operating various Storage Technologies in a highly availability,
  • Drive to learn new technologies and try something new
high performance, low latency configuration (e.g. FC SAN, NFS NAS)
  • Experience with implementation and testing of Backup, DR, and Business Continuity
technology in a high durability environment )
  • Ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Experience with Ideally Nimble, Pure, PowerScale and Qumulo as storage technologies
  • UCS Compute experience
  • Dell Poweredge experience
