Location: NexThreat LLC (Remote and/or On-site)
Duration: 10-12 weeks (with potential for extension)

Position Summary:

NexThreat LLC is seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Intern to join our team through the HUBZone Internship Program for Government Contractors. The Information Technology Intern will have the opportunity to work on various IT projects, including infrastructure management, system administration, and network security. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, team player, and has a strong interest in pursuing a career in the IT field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Support the maintenance and administration of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and configure new software applications and hardware systems.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Familiarity with common IT tools, such as operating systems, programming languages, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • HUBZone Residency (REQUIRED) Your primary work location and address must be in an area designated as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone).
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
