SALARY:
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.

Internships are available with the New Jersey Judiciary, most positions will be working from home with limited meetings at the Central Office.

This position is limited to a maximum of 944 hours in a fiscal year. Hours of work are a minimum of 20 hours per week and may not exceed 35 hours per week under normal working situations.
The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office is seeking individuals to join a growing team focused on the development and expansion of the most highly automated state court system in the country. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to work in a challenging environment with a large staff of IT professionals gaining valuable experience using emerging technologies to improve the delivery of technology services to judges, law enforcement, attorneys, and the public.
Multiple internships are available for individuals offering skills in the following area:
Application Services: Participate in development, testing, and documentation of on-line case management systems, mobile data systems, PEGA, web-based services using JAVA, .NET, JAVA Script, HTML and IBM Websphere.
Desired Skills:
Basic PC knowledge
Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio or other programming tools
Understanding of general programming concepts

Qualifications

Thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college pursuing a degree or certificate in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity.
Unofficial College or University transcript must be included in your application in order to be considered for this position.

Supplemental Information

Physical Ability: For some positions, applicants must have the ability to perform work which requires climbing and prolonged standing, stretching, bending and reaching. The selected candidate must be able to frequently lift and carry supplies weighing from 30 to 50 pounds and, occasionally, materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
