HCT has an immediate need for an interim Infection Preventionist at a 70+ bed hospital in Arizona. Responsibilities for this position include:

• Monitoring the on-going effectiveness of these activities and interventions, and
• Coordinating Infection Prevention and Control throughout the hospital and outpatient clinics,
• Assisting with the development, monitoring, and enforcement of policies specific to Surveillance, Prevention and Control Programs,
• Preparation for TJC survey.

Requirements:

• Education: RN or MPH
• Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
• Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and NHSN SAMS Card required
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, statistical analysis, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software

All expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, transportation, meal allowance, and trips home during the assignment.

Pay Range: $160,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and location.
