As an Infection Preventionist Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) at the Southeastern Veterans' Center within the Bureau of Veterans Homes. The IPCP is designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week.
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.

- Work hours are 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday, Flexible Schedule with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional nursing experience in a healthcare facility.
- All positions require possession of an active license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing; or possession of an active non-renewable temporary practice permit issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- All positions require possession of an Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Certificate of Mastery issued by the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONALTC) or possession of an active Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification as issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).
- All employees possessing non-renewable temporary practice permits must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
