The Infection Preventionist -- RN serves as the nursing centers' prevention and control officer and functions as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator.
Position Highlights
*Oversee the nursing centers' Infection Control and Prevention Program to minimize the risk of infection.
*Manage the employee health program which includes the universal influenza program.
*Facilitate infection control training for all newly hired employees and conduct annual competency training for nurses administering tuberculosis testing.
*Develop education programs in response to infection control needs identified through Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, rounding and nursing center quality measures.
